Student Government Association

As the Treasurer of the Student Government Association at Delaware Tech, I oversee and manage the budget, fund allocation, and expenditures for all clubs on the Wilmington campus. In this role, I also act as a student leader focused on boosting campus engagement and supporting initiatives that enhance student life. From budgeting for large-scale events to ensuring individual clubs have the resources they need to thrive, I work to make sure that funds are used responsibly and effectively to support the interests of our student body.

Beyond financial management, I collaborate closely with other SGA officers and club leaders to brainstorm new ideas for events, address campus-wide issues, and increase student involvement. Being a part of this team has taught me the importance of transparent communication and careful planning to ensure that our budget aligns with the college’s goals while staying flexible to adapt to student needs.

One accomplishment that I am proud of while being apart of SGA has been my creation and implementation of a coded Google Sheet linked to a Google Form for clubs to post their revenue and expenses. The Google Sheet allows for budget transparency among the campus clubs to be able to accurately and efficiently track their account balances.

As I have progressed in SGA, I’ve taken on increasing responsibilities, growing from a member of the finance team to now leading meetings and driving idea generation for future events. As a leader, I help set the agenda for our discussions, guide brainstorming sessions, and ensure that each event is aligned with the interests of our student body while staying within our budget.
