I co-founded WACC (Wall Street After Community College) with the goal of helping community college students and graduates break into the competitive world of finance, business, accounting, and other related disciplines. As someone who started has attended community college and tried to navigate the recruiting process, I know firsthand the challenges and barriers that many students face when trying to enter these tough fields.
Our mission with WACC is to provide community college students with the mentorship, resources, and connections they need to navigate their careers in finance. Through the network we’ve built, WACC offers opportunities for resume building, interview preparation, and insights into the finance industry, helping students position themselves for success. We also organize workshops, networking events, and one-on-one mentoring sessions, ensuring that students gain the industry knowledge and connections that will set them apart.
At WACC, we are passionate about promoting diversity in the finance industry. We believe that talent and ambition aren’t limited to those who come from a specific background, and I wanted to create a community where students from underrepresented backgrounds, especially those coming from community colleges, could see that they have a path forward in finance.
By co-founding WACC, I hope to help students access invaluable opportunities, build their careers, and prove that success in finance is achievable, regardless of where they start their educational journey.
